Radio Fanaka is a community radio based in the Fana region of Mali. A member of Farm Radio International's growing network of radio stations in West Africa, they have been using Freedom Fone to provide farmers in the area with market information and programmes around farming.
Radio Fanaka Fana and Radio Jigiya, which have a combined audience of over 170,000 people, present regular shows promoting the use of compost pits to create organic fertilizer.
